would like to start a hoya collection
Hi Arlette,
Welcome to the Forum. Well your plant room looks so warm and inviting. Just makes me want to go get my book and curl up. Love your shelves. You have a nice collection of hoya's . I don't know, but I think it's very hard to get cuttings into your country. I would love to help you out, but I just don't have any extra right now. Maybe in the fall befor it turns cold.
So please do tell, what got you addicted to Hoya's?
Tami
Hello Tami
thank you for the compliment . I have been loving succulent plants for a while now , they are easy to take care of and i like the thick leaves , i have a few epies , schlumbergeras and pedilanthus a fishone cactus and much more plants . This is not my first time having hoyas , but now i want to have more varieties , i have a lots of begonias , half of them are rexes and i'm having a bit of a hard time keeping them at their best . i won't be adding more begonias to my collection for now , ( probably this summer they will be happier outside in the shade ) I like plants that i can keep for years so that is why i'm shopping around to make a trade for hoyas because they are easy to ship .
BYe BYe for now and thank you for your reply Arlette
Arlette...there are some Canadians on the forum.... and your best best would be to connect with them. Your country and ours have very strict agricultural restrictions....which makes trading VERY difficult. You do have lovely plants....I saw a Medinilla magnifica in there...good growing!!!!
Often we have trading orgies and plant swaps...perhaps you can partificate in those.
Happy growing.

Welcome to the forum Arlette! Be careful !!! Hoya collecting can become totally addicting. You never have enough until the collection becomes so big you can barely care for them all and then you still want more. It takes me an entire Saturday to feed, water, "fluff and poof" them all, but I just love them! I go out to the greenhouse at night, turn on the light, and talk to them!
Other than the hoya, I collect epi's and billbergia. I don't have time to take care of anything else.
Hi Arlette! Gorgeous plant room! I did see some room left for hoya!
Heather
