yep allison...i have been looking at the 5 he has on ebay....i think the gold/yellow is just stunning...and that "sorceress"...and the "long legs"...something like that...i think they're amazing...course i couldn't afford them..but i can admire them.
Yes they are. I bought two Decmeber 2004. I paid about $117.00 for Springtime Wasp, and Alchemy Gold.
Well day after I paid David said he could not ship he had mites. But I wanted the plants so bad I was understanding and waited to April/May to get my plants. Refund was never mentioned either party. ( In his interview he told about his bat with Mites)
Well when I did get my plants 4-5 months later he gave me Alchemy Parakeet, Bean Stalk, and Cascade free but forgot my Alchemy Gold which cost me $53.00 . Oh yes Beanstalk did come a month later it was to small ( but to me was the cutest best grower than any of them:)
Ok when I got the plants pure truth they were from the size of a nickle to the size of a quarter. Oh yes he sent me free Rob's Lucky Penny it was the size of a nickle.( it died ) I isolated and pampered them. Within three days Cascades leaves got hard crisp and fell off..he did then send me leaves of it and two leaves of Springtime Wasp. They never made it :((.
I sold them all and just broke even :))
Now back summer 2004 I did buy from an other seller two leaves of his green and white wasp. They rooted and grew super great. I got 7 plants all sold from $20.00 - $30.00 each. But when he sold them they went for more ! Oh yes the leaves cost me $20.00.
Man I do wish I kept one of the green and white wasp
plants . It was the first of only green and white wasp plant and bustled and variegated .
So as you see I have out grown Senks plants. lol
I don't buy expensive anymore have too many long stories and learning experience ...
Not to mention my low income dropped in half last summer. Oh well lessons learned.
Allison..thanks so much for sharing your experience...i certainly couldn't afford them on my low income either....there are many others beautiful plants out there for less....bob
