Hi Allison...i was in earlier in the morning....we had some rain and winds and 50's for the temps and it sure felt cold..now just barely 60 and sunny...so feeling better...did the usual routine..early gym...than things around here...stopped at walmart...they didn't have any interesting av's ...now i am looking for episcias in the store...maybe a little later...they used to have them and the streps in hanging baskets about 5 years ago...Hope you're having a good day

I'm back! had to run some errands this am and yesterday I spent the day with a super girlfriend who is visiting from Montana! So we went thrift store shopping and lunch. I got about 30 clay garden pots for $0.10 each! And a vintage one too!!!
Plus I got a super 'Vornado' brand fan for my greenhouse for $5.

The day before, I was gone all day with my adorable daughter. School was out for MLK holiday and we spent the day Christmas shopping. We gave her a gift certificate for camera equipment since she's studying photography and this was a good day to go redeem the G.C.

But I am here, lot of reading to catch up on!!! The google search/spell check works with Firefox, not sure if you need to install that first. i like it a lot, better than the Mac software Safari (their version of internet browser software)

Allison my streps were to be mailed yesterday from Canada...so might just receive them this week yet....will post pics when they arrive

Hi Laurie....glad you had fun w ith your daughter..am sure lolts of posts abounding...you have to get here and visit with Lorry and me....what's the name of those begonias that are so expensive but pretty...usually they have them in pots...or baskets....think it's named after a man...can't think of it right.......ooops..just came to me..REIGER BEGONIAS.....so pretty

I have a nice Reiger in my greenhouse, it's a lovely salmon color, been blooming non-stop for about 6 months now. It got spindly but is bushing out again.

She's my first 'baby' and is going to be 18 in June. Yikes! I guess I don't feel old enough to have an 'adult' child.

my Florida schedule is looking something like - arrive on 2/26 and leave on 3/6 +/- a day Ali, I'll dmail you in a bit.

I got my digital camera today...I'll be reading up on how to use the darn thing after I get the kids to bed and tomorrow after I get out of work I'ma gonna take a picture of my "little friend" and hope like crazy that one of you smart AV adicts know what it is! the very smart and PC savy husband helped me with my picture of my " little friend" now if you would please tell me if you know who she could be that would be perfect! All I know about it is its an Optimara said so on the pot, but I have never seen one so pretty, and the truth is, this picture is not doing it any justice.....

I thought for sure the camera or the computer would blow up becuz I touched it, I may have GRENTHUMBS when it comes to plants, but I have BLACKHANDS when it comes to computers, vcrs, phones, tvs, anything you plug in....

I can't really give your plant a name. Optimara has several reigstered plants that look like your blossoms..then all the foliage is a little bit different here and there. And now Optimara does not name their Av's anymore. So sorry it's impossible to name

tyes allison...they have all their episcias growing in the ground at fairchild gardens...it was neat..the begonias weren't too far away....they had some of the "gold fish" plant as welll there...
....my bed time here..lol...up early ...usually at 430 or 5am to get to gym...pleasant dreams all..bob
