New to this forum and smitten with Brugs

( Looking for a towel to wipe the drool off the keyboard LOL)
I have been growing these here in Zone 5 for 3 years but must bring them in and place them into dormancy for the winter.
Particuarily in the United States, you seem to have a much wider selection than I do in Ontario.
I am really enjoying your posts, info and idea sharing.
Thank you.

Ra, Ontario doesn't have very much in the way of Brugmansia yet, but with a little hybridizing you could have some nice ones of your own. Try www.hodnik.com for a place that can ship nice top quality Brugmansia hybrides to you. I think in here we are all just sharing and learning from each other. The more we share the more we learn and so on. Glad to see you here RA

I should have said that I am relatively new to the computer in my previous post. I checked out your URL Brugmansia and it seems to not have a translation to English site.:(

RA,
Yes, it is in French. Sure you can find a few French speaking people in Canada, No? Ahh, at anyrate, that site is listed in other places in this forum with english translations to the french. You could also just e-mail them as they speak english as well. Seriously, if you need any help finding the english translation I posted in here just try the search function or ask Karma as she knows all and seeds all. Or..hmm,...as soon as my brain kicks in I will be back with some useful information.
Hope that helps,
Brugmansia

Hi RA! Welcome from another Canadian. You'll get wonderful help and info here. It really is the best place for a bruglover to hang out. Yes, those pesky Americans have a wider selection of brugs but there are two hundred million more of them than us and they are very, very generous on daves. I know. It's not easy, but possible.

Thank you for the gracious welcome.
It is great to have some Canuck's to correspond with and emails have been flying. :-)
Perhaps I will not have to risk my reputation afterall by scooting across the border to increase my collection LOL.
I have not tried seeds yet but this seems the next logical step.
Cuttings seem to work well thus far so as my plants mature, I may be able to participate in some trades.
I am still learning to navigate this web site and really am impressed with what I have seen and the friendliness I have found.

RA - Cuttings seem to make it across the border no problem - at least for me so far - in padded envelopes - marked 'plant - bare root

KHT - you're on!!! Brugcrazy and I have a couple of goodies. And Passiflora, have I got pass - they're attacking each other. Like trying to beak up a bunch of bratty kids.

Hi RA,

I'm in Ontario too. You are so right the pickings are quite slim here. Maybe we can make a difference. Where in Ontario are you? I'm in Oshawa.

Nancy
