The Kids

Prescott, AZ

Here is un update on the H. heuschkeliana seed pod. The pod opened on Dec. 1. And TaDa here they are. My question is now what. ? It was exciting watching them grow, but seems like they have been at this point for a couple of weeks. My chin hairs grow faster than these little babies....

You look at them so long and floppy andit doesn't seem time to transplant, right? You can transplant now....very very carefully. Using the same seedling mix.. but perhaps a little more perlite so that more oxygen gets to the roots, you can pot them up individually. Start with the strongest and work down (then when you get fed up you have the weaker ones left). Just be sure to get the roots covered and watered in...they may flop over, but they will reach towards the light and grow straight pretty soon. At first you might put a plastic something over them to keep in the humidity....keep warm and humid and pretty soon you will be wearing them!!!!

at least...that's how I would do it...I know there are other ways...
