WOW! What a wonderful package it was! I had so much fun opening it! I had to come share pictures with everyone. :o)
The first three pictures have them three to a tray, but I'll be separating them to two or just one to a tray, so they don't touch. I just put them together to take fewer pictures.
So here we go...
top left is Red Bandolito
Top right is Optimara Little Amethyst
Bottom is Optimara Little Rohadalite
I got a treasure chest from Allison today!
Wow, those are great! So healthy. I think she has the magic touch. : ) Are you near Sweetwater, TN, Raingazer? I have family there. HP
I also got lots of leaves to put down:
Rob's Boondoggle
Ness Cherry Topping
Wonderous Girl
Angel's Tears
Orchid Girl
Gleeful Elf
Buckeye Cherry Topping
B-Man's Barcelona
Here's a picture of them. So, all you pros out there, how'd I do? Tell me if I did something wrong. I failed to put wicks in the leaves, but after reading a bit more, I'm not sure if I was supposed to put wicks in them or not. Was I? And one last question, should I cover the leaves or leave them open? They're on my plant stand under the lights. This was so much fun!
hadfield, I agree she has the magic touch. I so hope I can keep them as healthy as they are now.
We're about an hour from Sweetwater.
I love finding little cups and pots to match with plants. Great pictures!!!
I was so tickled that these fit! I'm going to look around and see if I can find anymore. :o)
Did you get the leaves from Allison, too? The way you did it looks just like what I did, and I have my first two little plants popping up. You did good. : )
The leaves are perfect Amy ! I use to wick mine but now I don't my leaves. I do not cover them . As long as they don't get too wet and don't get dry they will be great ! The plants look terrific too. How do you like the Chirita baby ? It's only about 3 1/2 months old from the time I put the leaf down :)) It's my favorite Chirita :)) Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love the little tea cups :)) Everything looks wonderful :)) I just love Funny bunny she's always blooming and roots well, I have more babies , one even in bloom in a one inch pot ! Hope you get lots of babies . Enjoy. Thanks for sharing :)) Hope you like trailers ! Ramblin' Ruby almost a Vintage by Ethel Champion :))
Yes, Allison sent the leaves to me. I'm so glad I did them right! It was a lot of fun! Now to find the patience to wait for them to root! LOL
I LOVE the Chirita baby! It's beautiful! I do like trailers.
They're all just so great, but Ramblin' Ruby is my favorite of all. The foliage is fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Can't beleive someone paid $17.00 for Rob's Boolooroo leaves along with two other leaves.
I love treasure boxes :))
Do you have any pictures of the packaging ..do you feel it was safe and good for the plants ?
Wow! I'm thinking Allison's DG name should be "Violet Angel" or maybe "Violet Fairy" LOL.... she sure is a treasure to this forum!
I'd love to see a picture of the packaging if you have one... It's a challenge for me to pack larger plants, but it looks like all of those came through in tip top shape!
Those plants and pots in the last photos are just stunning together!
Oh wow ..AWESOME plants!
oh what a treat....did they arrive in a truck...........he he....seems like 1000's....so happy for all involved....i know it is so exciting to share as well as receive....
The plants are all just awesome! I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get them! It was so much fun opening them and then putting down the leaves. It was a great day all around. And just think of how many I'll have to share soon! :o)
I do have pictures of the packaging, but I was too tired to post them last night. I'll post them in a separate thread so it can be added to the sticky thread, if desired.
I'm going to finish my morning coffee (slept late this morning) and I'll get the packaging pictures posted later in the day.
Here's a picture of my "unpacking helper." She checked them all out to make sure they were alright before I opened them. LOL She does that with every package I get.
RG:
Yippe skippee - what a great day! Sounds like it was "VIOLET CHRISTMAS" for you!! Thanks for sharing. Allison - you are an INCREDIBLE person!! You have a heart as big as Texas (as they say).

Amy I will look and see what leaves I have that I did not send you and ship you some more tomorrow !
Every leaf can give your 4-6 or more babies :))
Allison
You're just too sweet, Allison! After all that and you're still sending me more leaves! Thank you so much!
Their packaged. Insulation, heat pack ( cold here and there ) and on their way ! Many babies for you !
Enjoy, have gun. Allison
Janet
these are pictures of the box of plants I sent to Amy. She was so kind to take pictures of them all ! I love looking at pictures :))
Gives you an idea of the babies I send that I grow by leaf for enjoyment !
Allison
Good idea to put leaves down from all your plants once their large enough ! One for insurance if something happens to it. It may not like it's new enviormant.
But most of all why not put down two leaves of each plant you have so you can have extra babies to share with someone who may have none or not many. Or a trade .It's a win , win situation .
African violets are fun to grow by leaf and even more fun to share :))
Allison

Amy how are all your babies doing . And all your other new plants ! Have you been putting down lots of leaves ? Well I know I sent you leaves but from all your plants :))
Have a more updated leaf or baby pictures !
Good idea - I have to remember to put down some leaves of the new arrivals [trailers] this weekend.
Amy how are they all doing !
Amy I'm going down memory lane :)) How is your Ramblin' Ruby ! A favorite. I sent a few out. Have two leaves down no babies yet.
Silver Smoke I sent a few out never saw one bloom. Anyone have any bloomers !
Here is how I like to pack plants and in winter I use thick insulation and heat packs when needed . I will find Amy's other
thread where she did step by step how I like to package.
Her 'Ramblin' Ruby' is doing great! Amy, you have to post the pictures you showed me! She re-rooted the crown and has new crowns coming out from the base of the origainal plant, looks like it'll trail nicely now. She also has some leaf babies that are looking just lovely! (and I've got dibs on one -- wheeee!)
Cool ! i gave Rmblin' Ruby leaves and plants to some other DG's anyone elses doing good ??
