CLOSED: Violet Root Divisions for Postage

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I have Violet root divisions that are going to the dumpster if no one wants them. The seeds "pop" and will spread, so be careful where you put them! I only have a pic of the foilage, but they have the typical pale purple flower.
I have PayPal if anyone wants to send postage that way. I think a bubble mailer will be about $1.83 or a Priority Box is $4.05

ZZ - not sure of what the plant is. Is it Violet Sage? Do you have a Latin name?

No Steve, I'm sorry, I don't. These were given to me by an elderly lady down the street about 12 years ago. She only said it was a violet.
I've cleared it out of my flower bed several times.. I posted it on the Identification thread, but without a photo of the bloom, it is hard to narrow it down, and even at that it is a guess. The bloom looks like the Wooly Blue Violet.

I would love some, have a great shady spot for them along a bank in the backyard. I will send you postage...are you listed in the addy exchange? Thanks, JanetS

I love these guys.... they end up everywhere, even in the lawn, but I don't consider them a pest or a problem. Anyone want any, I can send for postage too..... they are fun!

I'd like some, too, from either of you. I have a huge shady area with hardly anything there at all.

Hi Cheryl,
Everything I put in my backyard shade quickly is discovered by the her of deer...so I have planted lots there, just not enough for the deer AND ME!!! LOL I do love violets though...and they are great reseeders!
Good night...

I have enough for everyone..(so far) They are already dug up and in water. Sorry I didn't get back here yesterday.. was really busy.

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

Janet- there's a huge deer problem around our town, but they never seem to bother anyone IN town. Maybe there's a nice deer-garden on the edge that they all flock to because they never bother mine. hahaha Or maybe now I know what the people across the street are always shooting at...hmmm...

ZZsBabieZ- you have dmail. Thanks!

Go ahead- I'll just stamp "Return to sender" on them!

If anyone wants violets, please just Dmail me.. I'm closing this now.
