rhipsalidopsis nurseries

Lilburn, GA

Hi!

I am looking for rhips nurseries. The only one listed on DG has only Peter Pan for sale.

Where can I find them? Thank you!

Spider, I can highly recommend Logee's: http://www.logees.com/products.asp?dept=124 They have 'Peter Pan' and Rhipsalidopsis Gaertneri. Also try Tropical Treasures and Bob Smoley's: http://www.bobsmoleys.com/p-r.html

Hi Clare!

Thank you for your help. I have just phoned Logee's for their catalogue.

I have to say that I have seen some photos of your plants and that I think you are a superb gardener!

best wishes

Anna

PS. I think that Bob is not doing business anymore.

Hi Spider

This is the same recommendations that you got from the other forums site you posted on. Logees is great and you can order directly online and there are pics of the Rhips on there also.

Smoley's is still in business, he is just not very quick at responding to inquiries or customer service as I am sure you have read from the many postings about his services.

Many nurseries etc. are not shipping until the spring so you are best waiting until then - you will have more to select from both sellers and varieties than you have now in the heart of winter and many people are unable to make trades now due to the cold but can easily do it come warmer weather.

As you may have seen on the other site they have some members who are growers and sellers albeit overseas but I know many in the U.S. who have ordered from them and are more than satisfied you may want to contact them directly and see when they are willing to ship to the U.S. and what it would entail.

Hope this was helpful and I am sure your collection will grow leaps and bounds once the warmer weather comes around..

Thanks so much for the compliment, Spider! That is nice of you to say;-) I'll keep my eyes open in case I find any more sites which sell them. I checked over at Gray Davis: http://graydavisepies.com/ but I didn't see any in her catelog, but you might email her to see whether she has any for sale anyway. Dagchelbo is right that there will probably be more available in the spring and summer when the weather is warmer. Good luck!
