The sand is just to make the pot more shallow :)
I have persian and Kid karla leaves up so should have some of those to share come spring.

Oh I see you put the sand in the bottom of the pot. Does it work as well as perlite ? What size pots do you have the minis in ?
Ok if you do RB Minnesota Haze , or BE for Buckeyes.
Opt. for optimaras UV for ultra violet. lol Then I can guess or know lol.
I could put haze in FC search and come up with 13 haze's
then guess the MN part and figure out the Rebel's lol Hehe this would be a great puzzle game !
It isn't in the pot that the plant is in :) It is just resting in the window box :) the sand is to make it raised up in the pot :)
My minis are in 2 inch pots..some 2 1/2 inch pots

Oh ok I see. I know some people put damp marbles or pebbles under their pots for humidity but I guess most time we have enough of humidity in Florida.
allison...my sinus problems will always tell me about florida humidity...lol
