Where did you purchase your peony? I know that it is a peony, but have never seen blossoms like that. Leaves tell me that it is a peony.

I got mine from Plant Delights Nursery but Heronswood Nursery also carries it.. Both are great nurseries for different plants. The plants arrive small but I've never had a bad plant from either place. No I haven't any seedlings yet.

It was a small cutting plant about 8" or so. I've had it only 6 years.

Sorry the fruit and ripe seeds have long gone. We had below 32 for almost three weeks in December. All I have is a picture of the habit in bloom.
