Everyone here at DG help me welcome my new friend Spider. She now lives in the Atlanta, GA area after re-locating from England where she lived for many years. I am sure we have a lot to learn from each other and I know she will be a valuable asset to DG. I for one can't wait to pick her brain about English cottage gardens. I have told her how DG'ers are the kindest, most generous folks in the world, and she will find a good home here.
WELCOME SPIDER07!!
Let's Welcome Spider07!
hello from upstate new york. berrygirl is right, this is a great place to make new friends and to talk gardens of all types. enjoy.
Hi Peeps!
Thank you for introducing me to the group, Berry.
I am living in gorgeous Georgia after relocating from England. I am a wildlife rehabber, working mainly with baby squirrels and the odd opossum. I am going to train during Spring so I can rehab baby songbirds.
As I was telling Berrygirl, i am very excited to be living here. America is a wonderful place and I love the american nature.
I iwill have to start my garden from scratch as I had to give away all my precious plants prior to moving here. I had a collection of about 100 pelargoniums and a garden full of cottage flowers. Please feel free to ask me about the english gardens. I would love to help, if I can.
I am very happy to be part of this group.
Anna
Anna,
Glad you came here to DG! If you have any questions about how to use DG please feel free to ask.
My Vet is a wildlife rehabber for the state of GA and one of the few who also does birds of prey. What a fascinating and rewarding thing that must be. You'll have to go to the wildlife forum and say Hi to all the nice folks there.
Also we have a new forum dedicated to fragrant plants so please come over and give us your input!
You will find a lot of folks here at DG from England and a few from your native country as well.
See you around!
Ah, the official welcome! Welcome Ana, hope to meet you at our swap, you'll quickly fill in your garden this way, and much cheaper!
Berry, you know you'll need to come this year if she does ;>}
Vi,
This just might be the year that I come! What's that old country saying: "If the good Lord's willin' and the crick don't rise"....
Year, heck! This is a bi-annual event, gal, we expect you Spring and Fall! If you're worried about the drive alone, I suggest posting about sharing a ride, bet you'd have takers and more of us could come.
spider--welcome to DG.
We look forward to your sharing some of that famous 'english gardening' knowledge, and don't forget to check out the Wildlife forum--you will have a lot to post there., too
Your job sounds fascinating. t.
