Will it continue to grow or just die off. It is getting pretty long as you can see and has some nice roots on it.

It will probably continue to grow and engulf EVERYTHING!!
I would think the roots would like to adhere to some surface as one would expect them to do so in nature. If it becomes untidy, you could cut it off and start up another plant.
Looks like something really gorgeous blooming in that pot!!!
