What Canadian gardening celebs' presentations have you seen?

What Canadian gardening celebrities gardening talks or presentations have you seen in person? These famous gardeners should at least have been on TV and/or published a book.

Who was it? Where was it held? What kind of presentation was it?

Then tell us whose garden presentation you enjoyed the most.

Some of these may be regional but I've seen:

David Tarrant - Ottawa, Ontario - his own slide presentation/book promotion
Patrick Lima - Arnprior, Ontario - slide presentation/book signing at a book store
Mark Cullen & John Valleau - Ottawa, Ontario - a joint slide presentation to benefit Landscape Ontario
Ken Beattie - Ottawa, Ontario - home & garden show

My favourite was Ken Beattie. I like his style. Very relaxed, funny and enthusiastic. You didn't feel intimidated to ask questions.

Donna Dawson. Canada Blooms
Des Kennedy at Royal Roads - can't remember name of the show. Have seen his garden during a garden tour too.
David Tarrant . Victoria Garden Show
Kathy Renwald - The very first Canada Blooms or maybe second
Mark Cullen Canada Blooms
The wonderful Mr. Hobbs - Victoria Garden Show
Patrick Lima - Fund-raiser in Collingwood Ont.
Ken Beattie . Something in Vancouver.
Penelope Noble - Victoria Hort. Society meeting

Best talkers, Des Kennedy and Ken Beattie, neck and neck.

Ken Beattie is now the Director of Assinniboine Conservatory so we see him at most of the gardening events in Winnipeg. Am sure he was confused at first to see all these non-staff (volunteers) using the green houses, cooler etc. Hope things won't change too much.

Kathy Renwald, how I miss her TV shows, and @#$% CBC for xxx David Tarrant.

Am very sorry that Cullen Gardens is closing (or has closed). Was always on my list of must see nurseries when having an east of Toronto mental health childless nursery day.

Edited to add the most wonderful Constance Spry. She would come and talk to us when I was at school in england. Can't remember the names of others who would come and talk to us but ... was too many years ago.
