plant culturing african violet leafs?

i have been interested in plant culture for some time...but not quite understanding it all... i found this thread on it

allison..they have a "kitchen" kit...but it has to be almost a sterile atmosphere....but since much the of the "chemicals..sugar..vitamins"..they use is in ST...SUPER THRIVE..i thought what the heck..i'm going to take a leaf and cut it in strips and see what happens..i will improvise and see how close i can come to the process without the expensive apparatus..etc..

very interesting
