Well, we have a new addition to our family. I was playing around with my new zoom lens and taking pics of both the dogs earlier so I thought I would introduce her. We have named her Susie. My husband really wanted to name her Sadie, but my daughter was not crazy about that name so we compromised.
She is basically a rescue who came to us unplanned. Last weekend we visited friends in Oklahoma. They live in a large new development of lots on 2 to 5 acres and are one of only three people actually living there yet so we were surprised when a dog wandered down their long steep driveway early Saturday morning. My dog Rusty tried to chase her off but she kept coming back down the driveway until he gave up. She stayed down at the house all day resting under the eaves of the porch, only getting up to follow Rusty around. We noticed she was very sweet, followed us around and did not seem to mind being nudged a little if she got in the way. We started to wonder if she'd been abandonded up the road or something because she was not wandering off. We asked the few other people within a mile if she was theirs and they said no.
