we have a long strip of grass between the sidewalk and street. I want to plant trees - nothing too big because I have some sun gardens near by, and I don't want them shaded. Any ideas? I live in zone 5; hot, dry summers, and snowy, cold winters. I would like something with year round interest. My current thoughts are crabapples or hawthornes.. What else would work?
