Lysol question

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

I hear so much about using lysol on your AVs...So I have what coul dbe a stupid question.
Does Lysol come in something other then a lysol can? and if so..how much of it do you add to your water?
Also murphys oil soap..how much do you add to the water?
Do you use this in conjunction with neem oil? Which I am going to use once a month

I use the liquid Lysol the original type I think ?? and I use a capful in a gallon during winter months helps with any mildew or alge. Murphy's oil soap you can put a capful in a gallon of water each time you water. Good to water from top once in awhile wash out salts and fertilizer build ups.
To be honest I have never used Neem oil. I think it looks super nice when people spray it and their foliage shines :))

I like neem oil for the shining...and it doubles as bug protection :) which is a good thing...though I may try lysol and murphys as an additive also..it can't hurt!

Oh and thanks..I didn't know you could get liquid lysol!
And Murphys oil soap is for bugs correct?
I do water from the top quite frequently...and I dont' keep my reservoirs full of water all the time..i try to keep an eye on how wet the guys are getting!
Some of my self watering pots just make them TOO wet.

Murphy's Oil soap can kill soft body bugs, insects.. I think it smothers them.

and I am assuming none of this hurts the plant? Any bug help is a good thing :) I have not had a bug problem and don't want to start! So this is going to be on the grocery list!

Allison & Chris
Clearly there is a lot of info out there that maybe we aren't going to find in books or whatever- these little gems are wonderful, shouldn't Allison be putting all of this info on stickys for us? or writting a book for us?

Ali, since I cant really water that often due to the wet weather and the fact that things do not dry out, can I put my VF-11 or Schultz in with the lysol and murphys?

Like an african violet cocktail? I just cant water too often or I'll get the results I had earlier with all the rot I had. So in order to do all of the above, and fertilize, It would be hard. What are your thoughts?

What about the Lysol smell? I haven't used it in a long time.

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

I do simillar things with my outside plants- mix systemic treatment w/ fertilizers, etc. Sounds like it could work to me- what do you say Allison?

Yes Imix it with fertilizer have for years no problem !
Also a capful of Lysol you don't even smell it.
When I buy the Oil stuff from Gardens Alive ( I have some coming) I use it the same way . I feel it's a good way to help control many bugs, insects, fungus, mildew ..
