Angel's Trumpet 'ForeverMorr'
Brugmansia
I've been told that this brugmansia is very heat tolerant and grows well in the south.
Angel's Trumpet 'ForeverMorr'
Oh my goodness, what a pretty plant. I just got on and just could not believe how very pretty your brug is. No blooms here for awhile, so it is so good to see something so pretty!
Thanks Roz. It's nice to see you here. I don't get here much anymore. Just too much to do. LOL!
Gorgeous color, Brugie!

I purchased an Angel Trumpet 3 yrs. ago and it is growing on my fence post in the front of my yard but I still to this day have had NO BLOOMS and it just grows very leggy. Any suggestions? Thanks !
Brugmansia like to eat a lot and sunshine is necessary for good bloom, probably half day morning sun would be enough. They will bloom in the shade, but not a tree full like some sunshine will give them. I feed mine about twice a week with Peters 20-20-20 or a better one is CalMag 15-5-15. Either works okay. Even a lawn fertilizer broadcast under the tree and watered in would help. It might be a good idea to trim it back to about six nodes above the Y or you could even leave some of the smaller Y's on the branches. Just trim it some to get rid of the leggy growth. Never cut it below the first Y or it will have to grow tall, make another Y and then you will have a really strange looking tree. You can make lots of cuttings when you trim it back and give them to your friends. However, it might be best to make sure it will bloom before you start giving it away. The only other thing I can think of is ........ is it possible that you have a datura instead of a brugmansia? They tend to grow leggy or sprawling. I hope you find out what you have. A picture would help ID what species it is. Cultivar is nearly impossible to ID now that there are so many brugmansia growing in the US from seed.
Thanks Donna.
Beautiful, Donna!!!
