Please meet my dogs, Brownie (who looks like dark chocolate fudge) and Hannah, the shorter one :-) My Dave's Garden name is a combination of their names ,as you can see.
They have a "strange and wonderful relationship." Each room in the house has a different set of dog "politics." In this room, the "territory" is neutral, although they didn't like being on the same bed at the same time. This is a posed photo...they got of the bed very quickly afterwards.
Both are former shelter dogs, and both show signs of having been abused before they reached the shelter. Each was adopted at 4 months old. Brownie just turned 11, and Hannah is 7. Happily, they're in great health and I'm very grateful for that.
They're "mixed" breeds, proud mutts. There was a huge poster in the MSPCA shelter that showed a fun, funny huge dog of truly unrecognizable ancestry. The caption read: "If you can't decide what kind of breed to get, why not get them ALL and adopt me!"
These dogs have ME well trained and I don't mind that a bit...they're kind, gentle, intelligent, loving creatures who've taught me quite a bit. I love being their person!
