CLOSED: Still have 40 Surprise Lily, also called Magic Lily

Alpharetta, GA(Zone 7b)

Surprise Lily, also called Magic Lily, Naked Lady. Latin: Lycoris squamigera. I have about 40 of them dugged up for a quick trade. Hardiness Zones 5 - 10. The flowers are fragrant and striking in detail - like small amaryllis lilies with rose pink petals flushed with lavender highlights. This is the most cold hardy of the Lycoris species in cultivation. Quick and Large trade perfered. My want list is on my member page. Thank you.

Donna, yes. I've been around Kell too long, I'm starting to like pink! Are these going to be the size of rain lilies? I have a bed with white and yellow rain lilies, the pink would look good in there don't you think?
I put the red ones under a white brug, will it be too shady?
Farmerpickle, the bulbs arrived, they were in great shape!! Thanks so much!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Is this the same as amaryllis belladona? I would love to have a few if not but I don't have anything you are asking for.

Blessings,

oh no Susie. They have a very nice size flower. They are fall bloomers. They will surprise you. You will forget you had them planted because there will be no folage and one day you will come out to find this big beautiful bloom on a stick. The flower dies and then the folage grows until summer then dies back. They need a good bit of sun but not full.

Thanks Donna! Now I know where to put them. I will have to come up with something to mark them so I don't dig them up while they're dormant.

Ozark, AL(Zone 8b)

When I saw six takers for these, I backed off!! I've lots of brugs to trade; yet it's even later in the game, yet still I see applicants?! Any left?????
