I did a quick search here and didn't see this addressed. http://www.openoffice.org/

Does anyone know if this will let you download Word and Excel files and modify them? I just can't understand the language!

I've 'lost' my Word and Excel and someone suggested using OOO instead and directed me to the page.
Since I need to stay in the business world, with this hinder or help me with office skills? (I was just beginning to get the hang of Word & Excel)
