The nasties have truely run AMOK this time. They have climbed over the fence around them (yes, there is a short fence under that mess.) They have covered the sidewalk and are trying to climb up the nice warm wall opposite the bed. This is what I found when I had the timerity to think that I would bring the trashcan around to the back yard. Luckily, there is another gate on the other side of the house that is guarded by will behaved cactus and succulents.
Hiding in amongst the huge nastie leaves is a bed of clivia that have been doing their best to be beautiful.
A real beauty and the beast situation!
