Anyone use Sourdough Starter?

I bought at Territorial Seeds store in Euguene, Oregon, some GoldRush Old Fashioned San Francisco Style Sourdough Starter recently.

I am hoping to get this going tonight.

Has anyone use sourdough starter? Have any tips, the good and bad points?
