It has always been a mantra that you're never too old to learn something new. I expect that this will be the lesson here at DG.
I hope to bring here some of my passion for woody plants and most other things horticultural. I hope to receive plenty of exposure to those things I want to learn more about. That especially includes learning how to post a picture.
As some other DG residents have noted, I too have spent quite a bit of time on other sites. While that has been an exceptional experience in meeting and conversing with many plantophiles, it has become so burdensome (as a low-functioning techie) with all the extraneous embellishments that the joy of reading and posting is all but eliminated. That, and some nudging from a few of you (who know who you are, even if I don't) has brought me into your world.
I'm going to enjoy learning my way around. Continue the nudges.
New Year resolution
What a nice New Year you have opted for...you'll love it here more and more as time goes by...Jo
this is the best, simply the best web site. hello from upstate new york.
It's a resolution that won't be hard to keep. And you already can post a picture! Welcome to DG from Nebraska.
Welcome to DG! Looks like you don't need many nudges - already well on your way to being a valuable member (33 zip code reports, 7 comments and 1 image)!!!! Best part about DG is "low functioning techies" fit right in :) I have also visited alot of other gardening forums but have found this one to be the easiest and most 'user-friendly' to navigate once you get the hang of it. Looking forward to your posts.

Welcome! I think I saw you over in Trees & Shrubs. I'm just lurking there for now.
Waving from the west side of the Lakes in Marshall County. I just celebrated 5 years here and have enjoyed every day. Glad to have another Kentuckian aboard!
