Just thought I'd share:
What violets I didn't lose to my suspected "Cyclamin Mite" problem must be trying to cheer me up as they are blooming like crazy ~ especially my "Rebel's Splatter Cake"! It has a flower that is HUGE (by comparison) - a good inch across. In my book, this is one of the most stunning violets there is.
BIG bloom!
Just beautiful. Hurray!! I love the edging on "New Years Eve". She made it just in time.
BJ I have a variegated leaf down as well with the ears showing mostly white. Are you letting your babies stay with the mother until they develope at least one good green leaf?
Nanna:
Yeah, that's my plan - - I want to get some green on those leaves so they can sustain themselves (to produce chlorophyl and all that). They were TOTALLY white/pink at first....but as they mature, they are producing some green.
By comparison, here is a picture of babies from another Alamo Jester leaf I put down at the exact same time ~ but I accidentally snapped the mother leaf off about 3 weeks ago. Note the size difference of the babies & the lack of green. Poor thing is really struggling! =(
So I am waiting to separate the babies from the mother leaf until they have a good showing of green.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was guessing, but felt sure that's what I should do.
Lovely photos ladies..thanks for sharing!
I agree Begonia..that is a stunning plant!
I bet they are doing a good job of cheering you up!
Beautiful. thanks for sharing your photo's
Their beautiful Betty ! Thanks for sharing ! I like to give my babies a fish emolsion drink and more light. :)) Or give them a fertilizer drink with first number nitrogen high. I use this for leves down and babies too !
I like using Optimara 20-5-10 Plant Food for this.
This plant food has been used in commercial greenhouses for over 20 years. It's a good general purpose Fertilizer that contains no Urea. 20% Nitrogen promotes strong leaves, 5% Phosphate develops vigorous roots and 10% Potash for disease resistance. The fertilizer also contains chelated trace elements which serve as activating compounds that aid in cell development
