Sandy, do these need really hot weather to grow well? I tried some last year, got them from Wally world, and they were pitiful, only grew about 2 feet, and no gourds, just a few blooms.

I have tried in the past and when it gets really hot here they won't grow. I was going to start the seeds now and pray I get some gourds.

Maybe someone will come along and help us both.

Sandy, I am 45 min from you and I grow all kinds of gourds here...I can tell ya a trick or 2 in our area of growing...lol...Don't start your seeds now..I start mine in early part of March..E-mail me and will tell ya how...lol...

Oooh, I'd love to be able to grow some of those myself. I'm in zone 8b, is that good?

I have some heirloom amaryllis seeds still to trade. The mother plant is about 50 years old, and these are easy to grow from seed. I will send a PDF with info to anyone interested.
