Well, the vet just called and gave me Pepper's liver numbers. They weren't good. They have been going up a lot over the last two months despite the medicine and LD food.
He wants to do another test on Monday that will test the liver function. She has to go in at 8am without eating, they will take blood, test it, then give her a meal and wait a couple of hours and test it again.
The weird thing is she acts just fine, not sick at all. Not yellow (jaundiced). They suggested a liver biopsy but I don't see the point. There is nothing they can do if they found something. Why stick a big bore needle in my precious girl????
He wants to be sure from the next blood test that it is actually the liver and not something else causing the problem. I am kind of depressed (understatement), I don't know how I will handle my Pepper being sick. About to cry...
