I really had fun this Christmas making special gifts for my mom and Joe. Last summer someone posted a pic of a beautiful decoupaged switch plate which Mich (Keyi) had made of an iris photo. I was so impressed with it that I D-Mailed Mich and asked if she'd be willing to teach me how to make them, and of course she was all too happy to oblige. Then I got busy! I asked my mom to send me her all-time favorite photos (without telling her why), and I printed up some of my favorite pics of our canine kids. I used all those photos to create switch plates for my Mom and for Joe's piano studio. I thought you guys might like to see a few of them.
This first one is of Moonie and Sarah, both sadly departed but now lovingly remembered each time the light's switched on. (BTW, I will be remaking this plate now that I understand it only needs one screw to hold it in place. Moonie will look a bit better without a screw in her forehead. ;-) )
