Santa Brought Lily a Sister!

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

I was thinking about how lonely Lily must be when we have to work. I always wonder if she's lonely or bored or if she just wishes somebody was home to meow to. It was really getting to me because Lily has proved how much she misses everyone when we come through the door after being out all day.

So lonely no more! Meet Olivia!

When first laying eyes upon Olivia, Lily pounced her. I thought OMG she's gonna beat the crap out of Olivia. I started panicking but upon closer inspection, I realized that Lily didn't have her claws out nor was she biting too hard. It was play!!! It was Lily saying "I'm sooooo glad you're here"!!! This was yesterday.
Today, they have chased, wrestled, and slept together. They have ate from the same dish together and chased each other's tails. The most precious part was when Lily approached a sleeping Olivia and cleaned her from head to toe......even inside her ears!!!!!

From the get go, Lily has been deeply affectionate and purrs loudly. Olivia on the other hand is skittish and doesn't like to be handled as much. But I have a feeling that she'll come around in own good time and Lily will help break her in,lol.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!!!!!
