I have such a hard time finding pots small enough for my AVs at the local nurseries.
So I have begun to look online.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Where is the best place to buy small pots?
Ok put theses in the Sticky please ...
My most favorite for thumbprint, 2 ", 3 " and 4 " Pan Pot ( they call them bulb pan) and more
Secret Gardens I buy the 2 " by the 500 's and go threw them fast !

Second place cost a little more they have every shape and size . . I like their 4 " Azela pots along with every other size and shape. They give you discounts the more you buy. Spend $75.00 and FREE shipping :))

Great Thanks ! Everyone is always emailing or asking me and all theses places give super service and great products !
Cool :)
Thanks for the info Allison!
I will check them out!
Sometimes it's better to buy in bulk sizes you will use a lot. 2 " I see with all your Miniautres and babies. Two inch pots are great for minis for life just when transplanting time use same size new pot and little soil about every 4-6 months. Many Semi miniatures or plants up to 6-7 inches and babies are great in the two inch pots ! I like them ! Secret gardens pots start out about 4 cents each and their out of Florida !
bumping up to buy pots
D&P has all their supplies at 1/2 off. so their 2.5" pots are $0.06 each and the Oyama are also half off. Not sure what stock they have left. Here's the link

I think D&P had their last shipping day yesterday! That is what they told me :(
They will be missed!
I did place a supply order with them also though which should be coming in with the rest of my plants this week
I did also but he was not sure if he had the 2.50 and 4 " is so I'm getting some ??
Drat. I was hoping to get in on the bargain fun now that I'm back in town! Oh, well.... Thanks to you generous folks, I'll have plenty of delightful new violets when we do spring trades!
With regard to inexpensive little pots, I picked up a bag with a zillion little condiment cups, about the size of thumbprint pots (1 inch deep and about as wide), at a chef's supply store a couple of weeks ago. I paid less than $4 for a bag of 200. I think they will do very nicely for putting down single leaves, especially the smaller ones! I will of course poke a hole or two in the bottom of the cups with a hot metal skewer (somebody mentioned using a soldering iron for this, which also sounded easy). They also had translucent plastic 5 oz cups, so I snapped up some of those as well -- I've tried using the paper ones when I couldn't find plastic ones in the right size, and they just weren't as satisfactory for anything that took longer than 6 weeks (started to disintegrate).
That's pretty good Jil ! My husband gets me solo cups. Lately he has been getting my 3 inch solo cups at Kash and Carry 150 in a bag for leass than $2.00 their pretty sturdy cups. I use them for all my leaves. I use to buy them by the case of 2500 when I used more of them . For while it was hard for my husband to find them and I was going threw them like crazy so I would order a case. But to be honest they really did not cost less after shipping and they were not as sturdy as the dixie solo cups !
