Wow...There are a lot of us in FL :)
How cool
Chris_Lorry....
There are several DG-ers in Central Florida...we are planning a few local field trips to meet each other, after the holidays. The first will be to Lucas Nurseries in Oviedo, then Leu Gardens in Orlando, and hoping for Epcot when the Flower Show comes back to town for the summer.
Thanks for adding the link above!

Welcome ChiaLea :)) Do you have any African violets now ?
There are at least 20 thousand named African violet plants. Miniatures, Semi-miniatures, oh yes Micro Minis, Standard and trailers in every size. They come in just about ever color ! There fun to grow , easy to grow, and even more fun to share ! Everyone here is caring, sharing big hearted people ! We are all here to help you ! Ask away. .
The link above has a lot of everything in it ! Pictures of how to also.
WELCOME WELCOME :))

Keep me informed! I am not that far from Orlando!
Hi ChiaLea,
Welcome.Theres alot of great folks here.
Welcome, ChiaLea!
Another site with lots of great culture information is www.robsviolet.com
Fair warning -- if you start hanging around this forum, you'll quickly become addicted to African Violets... this has happened before.... LOL!
Not only are there thousands of named cultivars, but we're always finding great noids (No ID violets) at the grocery or Home Depot. Many places that sell AVs don't ship during the winter, or charge more for shipping. But there will be a flurry of acquisitions and trades on this forum in spring! :-)
Look around for past threads on topics from watering to good mail order sources... and if you can't find the information you need, ask! We hope you'll have fun with your new interest and soon have lots of great pictures to post here!
Hi MerryMary welcome too ! Do you like growing African violets :))
This is the most caring, sharing people . Have fun, learn, share and grow Afircan violets and all their Cousins :))

Thanks to begonia's efforts, we finally got "sticky" threads on this forum! "Sticky" just means that these threads are permanental "stuck" (by admin) to the top of the forum page, so they will not drift down and out of sight as new posts and new threads are added.
And please feel free to email me with items you all want 'stuck' I will happily edit as needed.
