There be baby snails here.......

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

I am sooooooo excited. about 10 days ago my female golden apple snail laid a large clutch of eggs at the top of her aquarium. I then googled apple snails and found out so much information. I will give you the site if you want to look. http://www.applesnail.net/content/care.php

So they said it would take 2 to 4 weeks for them to hatch. I have been misting them for the whole time because I didn't want them to completely dry out.

They started hatching this afternoon. They are showering down like tiny little golden peas. Then they crawl back up the sides and if you look really really close you can see their tiny little antennae, like little hairs moving about just like mama and daddy. It cracks me up.

I know you all think I am crazy for getting so excited over this, especially since I have no idea what I am going to do with a couple of hundred apple snails when they get big. Anybody want one or two or ten????? J/K

This picture is the best I could do with the digital, I got out the 'real' camera but that will have to be developed to see if I captured anything good on it. I will post it if I do. Don't know if this is mom or dad on the side but the little dots are the babies.
