We have a lot here in AuGres. Thank God for the blade on that big Kubota tractor. It is so beautiful to look at but I'm not venturing out in it. I'll just hunker down inside and look through the flower catalogue that came the other day.
I'm looking for a snowmobile with electric start and reverse. If anyone knows of one for sale, let me know.
I bought an amarillis bulb at Walmart. I thought it would be fun to watch it grow this winter. It is planted in stones and water. It is about six inches high right now and doing well. My old Christmas cactus is blooming. It's white. I bought one of those little Christmas trees. It looks like a baby shrub. I'm not sure if I can plant it out next spring or not. So many of those things are only for warmer climates. This one didn't have a tag. Oh well, I'll plant it out and if it lives it lives and if not it will be enjoyed for the time being.
Did any of you buy any Christmas plants? Are you doing any inside gardening or planning for 2006 outdoor gardens? It's never too early to think about it.
I miss everyone chattering away in this forum. It is way too quiet in here lately. Is everyone done with their Christmas shopping?
So how much snow do you have?
Hi Loon glad to see someone is here...I did get me two of the pink poinsettias, and put them next to a small silver tree...I really am planning on doing winter sowing,at least give it a try...It's all new to me but I have been reading up on it...I just have a few more gifts and will be done with that...I don't bake alot anymore, just gotta plan on the menu for Christmas..

Loretta....
Well we have about 8 inches of snow and supposed to get more today. I'm hoping that the plow will come through and clean up our street. My daughter got her car stuck out here last night. I haven't bought any holiday plants because of my two cats. They would want to munch on them and most of them are poisonous.
i think we got about 6more inches to the 4inches we had! My pine trees lowest branches are touching the ground. I was going to shake the snow off so they dont break, but remembered how hard it is to mow under them all summer-so if the break they break! lol
I have been trying to win the articcat they are giving away on z93

I think that would be a good idea...This is my first year at trying winter sowing..just hope it works....
Loretta...
I haven't started any daylily seeds indoors yet. I think I will probably have to clear out some seedlings outdoors in order to plant any more seeds. I am really about out of room for any more flowers.
