Still Have Some Pretty Violets!

Mt Zion, IL(Zone 5b)

In spite of my devistating loss recently, I still have some very pretty violets blooming for me.
Front left to right....Raspberry Crisp, Starry Night Blue
Back left to right...Rebels' Splatter Cake, Bob Serbin, and suppose to be Hawaiian Pearl....but all the pictures I've seen the blooms are PINK and this is more of a wine color.

Lorry - - yeah, I referenced that same picture of Hawaiian Pearl...but the color of mine is so much different,.....I just wasn't sure. But I went back through my inventory and it HAS to be that! I guess color variations aren't uncommon.
Something I lost to my suspected Cyclamin Mites that I would love to have again (if anyone could help) were my two girl foliage violets. They were NoIDs....but both were girl foliage, one with a single solid pink bloom, the other was a single solid purple. Come spring, if anyone has extras.....I would really like to have leaves/plantlets again.
=0)
TIA

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

They have A LOT of light on the picture I posted.
My Hawiian is blooming for the first time and one bloom has opened..it is more like the picture Treasure posted..a darker pink :)
So I am sure it is right :)

Mt Zion, IL(Zone 5b)

VT: thanks --- "FC" - is that "First Class"? The picture you posted looks alot more like mine than the one Lorry posted....mine has that deeper fuschia color.
No, not the first blooms for "Splatter Cake"....this is the second round. But it IS the first time "Raspberry Crisp" has bloomed. =)

You are welcome to anything I have Betsy.
I believe you gave me a wishlist and you will get all I am able to give on it..
You can always feel free to add more too :)
I have some space babies coming in January from bluebird :)
I can't wait and plan on putting up leaves from them.
They are all GORGEOUS!
They had a bargain, all 7 sace babies for 49.95 so I splurged :)

Silver Spring, MD

Hey BJ. I love Raspberry Crisp. They are all beautiful.

Hi Betty yes FC/First Class. Yes yours sure does look like a beautiful
Hawaiian Pearl. I have leaves down of it.
Lorry I got my Space babies same place I have some Space Everfloris baby plants and leaves down.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Well I got the whole 7 piece lot Allison :) I hope they are half as lovely as the photos.
Did you get all of them? If not...and there are others you want...let me know..I can put the leaves up as soon as they get in for ya!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I have them all but I had some all ready . I bought one from them first to check qulity , then bought more. I lost died my Ever Harmony leaves, I think I have EverBeautiful? Also I need another Everprecious, and EverYoung. Bluebird does not sell them all. I have all they do.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous plants, Betsy!

I've got a several girl leaf varieties, so should have a selection of plantlets available this spring!

Lorry, those Space Babies are stunning! If you get leaves down, I'd love a baby some time.... no particular preference among them; they all sound so pretty with their ruffled leaves and green/white edged blooms!

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Well Critter..once they show up! I will put a leaf down of each for ya :)
With any luck should be just after new years *crossed fingers*

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

oh gosh.... by all means, put down a leaf or two of each when they show up, but please share them around! One space baby variety plant would be fine for me! With my new fascination with the "Buckeye" series, I'm likely to end up with more "big standard" AVs than I have space for!

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

VT, you sent me leaves of EverRejoice. They aren't dead yet, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I whisper words of encouragement into their 'ears'...

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Ok Begonia...you need to tell me this....Where exactly is the leaf's ear? I have been looking for it all night!
Sorry I could not resist!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I hope you get lots of babies Begonia. I find their leaves hard to progate maybe I'm sure it's just me. Now I do have baby plants of some and more leaves where those came from ! Allison

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Actually, Lorry, "ears" is AV speak for "first tiny leaf tips poking up from a leaf you're propagating." ;-)

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

I know..I know :)
I was trying to be funny
And doing a bad job of it *wink*

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

oh, I thought it was funny! just wanted to make sure you caught begonia's pun!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

You must sing to them daily too :))

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh yup yup...well I would not have without the attic babies post :)
I caught on about ears in there :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh yes and when some of you do get First Class and see all the pictures, you'll all be wanting them all even more :))
What do you think about this one ?

The blooms on 'Music Box Dancer' are just HUGE! I love it!

And I'm enchanted by the Russian violets, with their frilly blooms & leaves.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Yes I was not going to buy any but grew from leaf five different kinds, lost two kinds the ones I really wanted they both had green. The leaves I got for $4.75 were so small amazing I got the babies I did. A few I bought plants solw some leaves and put leaves down and they grew back fast. $9.95 for a plant was a better value than $4.75 for one leaf. They rooted and grew into babies super fast. I'm going to put more leaves down soon ! I have a few promised to MsC byt hope o grow more ! Allison

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh wow..they are lovely! thanks for sharing
Music has INCREDIBLE flowers. I have a plantlet of her and can't WAIT until she is blooming now!
The russian is GORGEOUS also :)

Thanks for sharing!

Music Box Dancer is a gem! :+))
