Hello Floridian

Another member called Mrsjudes92 has written and suggested the plant in your images is a Turnera ulmifolia as depicted here http://www.plantatlas.usf.edu/images.asp?plantID=1809 rather than a Mentzelia floridana http://www.plantatlas.usf.edu/images.asp?plantID=2587#

Do you have any thoughts to share on this please? :)

Good Morning Baa,

There doesn't seem to be much doubt that the picture is in the wrong entry. The friend that has this plant is going to be soooo upset. She got the plant as a native from one of the better known local native plant nurseries. I never thought to question their ID.

Thanks~

Stacey;

I do hope your friend will not be too distressed. Although the nursery had it labeled wrong, it is indeed a native plant to Florida.

Hi MrsJudes,

Thanks for your help with this picture

According to the ISB Plant Atlas this Turnera isn't native but I'm glad to have the picture in the right spot. Hehe The plant is really doing well too!

Thank you both, the images have now been moved :)
