pruning

I wait until late Feb - early March to cut off dead stuff . Is this correct ?
I generaly use Staystuck to seal unless branch is over 1 inch .
Over an inch it gets the blank tar sealing stuff . Can't remember name off hand .

Hi Tony! I always wait till the rainy season is over to prune my dead stuff off. Rot can set in so fast.

I have never heard of Staystuck. What is that?

I was told to use it to keep different sprays , bore-oil , suffer , neem , Hort oil and cloud cover on the plants . If I spray and we have rain heavy fog or even high Humitity in air the spray either won't stick or will be washed off .
I get it at OSH .
I have woolly aphids , peachleaf curl , scale , apple borers etc . I can't elimate because Alameda creek is right behind my house and we get birds , raccoons , possums , ferel cats , field mice and anything that hitches a ride on train tracks . All of these either carry in on feet or fur .
It [ staystuck ] does a number on Whiteflies , aphids and spidermites . It also will take out lady bugs , praying mathis and spiders , so I am carefull when and where I use it .
