Help identify this palm tree please

Visalia, CA

I just saved this palm tree nd moved it to my yard but cant indentify it. It is 16 feet tall and the owner said he though it was about 20+ years old. I also got a 60 inch trunk sago they said was planted around the same time. Any ideas? This palm was located in central Ca 9a-9b zone

It might be a Christmas Palm also known as a Manila Palm (Adonidia/ Veitchia Merrillii) which looks like a small Royal Palm.

Any idea why it is surviving here? We get mid to low 20s here and it even survived when it snowed once.

Must have some protection from winds... you can see from the trunk it has some stress lines. Not sure what your lows are, but if you could get a photo of it with snow it would be great! Kings are pretty tolerant of cold in California, suriving into the teens on very rare freezes (usually lose all their leaves, and often do die, but some recover). In Florida, these palms die as soon as it gets into the high 20s...

Looks like the green form of King palm to me too.
