Raspberry Rampage

Silver Spring, MD

Thought you might enjoy seeing how she is coming. She was a very slow starter but is now in full bloom.

Very pretty :)
Looks a lot like my cherries and cream :)
Though the edges look a tiny bit variegated.....mine aren't on the cherries and cream

Yum! How big are those blossoms?

Nevada, MO(Zone 6a)

Pretty! The white edges on the blossoms really make it stand out.

Silver Spring, MD

The blossoms are about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 inches across.

goodness! what a beauty

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Very pretty :))

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous! Mine started putting up a couple of buds, but seems to have stalled.... I'm trying to figure out how to make her happier... :-)

I tried everything with mine. I emailed Rob at the Violet Barn. Basicly he said variegates take their own time to do their own thing, but the wait is well worth it.

Very nice....your plants always look so healthy and well cared for.

Thanks Deb

What's the weather like in MO right now. I was thinking how cold I felt today. Then I saw you were in MO and knew you must be much colder.

Very pretty nannanavarro.

Hey Nanna...it got in the 40's today...suppose to rain and turn to snow tonight. I will be fine with the winter months as long as I can get my violets to produce.

Deb

What do you do with the plants when there is a good storm and the electricity goes out. We haven't had a long power outage since I started collecting avs.

Do you have a backup plan for keeping them warm?

Nanna

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

Nanna...I don't have a plan if the power goes out. Guess I need to be thinking about that.

leaves go down on this beauty Nanna . I think certain types of foliage may need suport

Silver Spring, MD

This is one of my favorites. Her leaves are doing better now. I keep her smaller and the leaves behave better.

Raspberry Rampage is beautiful ! Nanna what do you do in order to keep her small snese she is a large growing AV ? Is she still blooming real good.
Raspberry Rampage (S. Sorano) Single-semidouble dark raspberry star/white fluted edge. Variegated dark green and white, quilted/red back. Large

Silver Spring, MD

I don't let her get more the 3 rows of leaves and I keep her in a 4 inch pot. When I repot I just trim leaves and scratch the stem when the leaves were and slice off from the bottom putting new soil mostly on the top to cover the scratchings.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Cool ! So it's working well ! How is she doing now any up-dated pictures.

Silver Spring, MD

She just finished blooming and is resting. The blooms were so large and beautiful. AND just enough. The do not bunch up in the center so there is always light for the crown. I have never had any trouble with RRamp. Isn't that interesting. She gets the same care as all the others but has never had any of the problems. That gives me some insight. I just put a plate under her to help her leaves get more light. Even without blooms she is a gorgeous plant.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

That's great kind of plant to have. Hybridizers have always tried for this type of plants ! I love it when they act just perfect !

Silver Spring, MD

You know I used to think perfect was a show plant every time. I have since decided that just enough blooms to show color is what I want. Too many problems come with tons of blooms.
