I left my big girl at the emergency hospital tonight. She's got fluid on her chest and more than likely has now developed a heart condition on top of her diabetes (not necessarily related). She started having somewhat labored breathing on Saturday and when I got home from work today - she was scheduled to go to the vet tomorrow - she was worse so my vet recommended we take her on in. After the xray showed all the fluid - so much so that it obscured a view of the heart - I'm glad we did. They're going to tap her chest tonight and then we'll see what happens. She's had a rough time and if you can - I'd appreciate your prayers and good thoughts. Here's a picture of her from some time ago....
