Audrey Hepburn blooming in greenhouse

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

This is what greated me in the greenhouse this afternoon — Audrey Hepburn. She's got quite a number of buds, blooms and 5 seed pods.

This is her largest seed pod — about 3-1/2" long. If the pod goes to maturity, How long will it take? Rosamond was the only other Brug blooming when Audrey Hepburn started to bloom. So these pods must be a Audrey Hepburn X Rosamond cross.

Rosamond has one little seed pod. Insignis Gold was blooming as Rosamond started to bloom. Rosamond X Insignis Gold, maybe?

This is the first time that Audrey Hepburn has bloomed. I haven't been out to the greenhouse at night because of the freezing cold so I can't tell how fragrant she is. Besides Citrine is also blooming and her scent is really lovely and powerful. Her blooms are not as pretty as they were this summer — paler in color — but her perfume is still strong.

Veronica, what a lovely bloom Audrey Hepburn has.. just like the lady she was named for. On this one, the shorter tendrils and draping skirt look "made to order" and perfect. Adding that one to my ever-lengthening wish list, I believe.
Thanks for posting pics.
