Looking for Hellebores

Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

Hi,

I just moved to Tennessee from Louisiana. I had to leave all of my plants behind. If anyone has any Hellebores for postage I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
Betty

Betty,
Nice to see you finally moved up here. have you moved into your new home?
I am not sure the hellebores would thrive this late. I usually plant through November.
i have some young Helleborus foetidus http://davesgarden.com/pdb/showimage/2436/.
When it gets warmer we can meet. we go to church in Algood on Sunday AM. We can meet and trade at the Main Street Grocery. We usually pick up some things after church.
let me know. Linda

Hi tortoisekeeper,
Welcome to DG!
You certainly have lots of pretty daylilies and irises...or anyway, your pictures are beautiful.
I have some volunteer baby hellebores to share, but it would be best to wait til early spring. The mother has pink flowers, but one of the previous babies (that bloomed this year) has cream flowers. The little ones will need a couple of years growing time to bloom. Let me know if you want some, cause they are gonna get trampled with some construction work we are doing in that area next spring.

Oh, Toxi, I want some if they are otherwise going to be trampled! Not if Tortoise gets there first of couurse.

Okay, Carrielamont and Tortoisekeeper, I will save them for you. I made a little note, but remind me about March in case I lose it!

Thanks Toxi will try hard to remeber.
