Does anyone out there have any of these seeds to trade?
I have dahlia tubers, delphinium (different colors) seeds, columbine (different colors) seeds, and some other seeds but can't think off the top of my head yet to trade with.
I would like to start some of these Peruvian lily seeds outside now but I can't seem to find places that has them.
I really love these for bouquets mixed with my dahlias.
Please let me know if anyone harvested any seeds from these this year or a source on where to get some seeds.
Thanks,
Carol
Alstroemeria-Peruvian lilies
I just came across these last night while dream shopping. They are from Swallowtail Garden Seeds' website.

Jess
Well, thank you very much for the link! Keep dreaming, lol! Makes life good!
Have been looking long and hard.
Was hoping someone out there would have some to spare from their garden but....
So if anyone else out there..... has anything or any other ideas, please let me know!
Thanks, Carol
Carol, if you can wait a little more I can send you Alstroemeria ligtu ssp. simsii seeds that will ripen soon. (bright orange/red)
During February I should be able to collect seeds from quite hardy species in the Andes Mountains (ranging from whitish to all shades of pink and pale lilac).
Hugs,
Ursula
I have tried these form see once far too involved a process for me! I found that it is much eayser to start from the tubers. Just throw them in the ground. I dont have any but Im sure someone will. I do have a varity that grows wild here. the folage is the same but the flower stocks are longer and the flower is also the same but in a very deep wine color.I could dig some up if you are intresred.
I found a link with a photo

Oh, my goodness, Yes to both of you guys, Ursula and Heavinscent!!!
D-mail me on what I need to do for you guys then. Have lots of dahlia tubers and some other types of seeds then.
These seeds do take a long time to get going. I have to do the cold treatment all winter long. I put seeds in a pot, put outside for the whole winter and finally in the spring they germinate. I ended up losing all of them last year due to them not being big enough when transplanting.
Peruvian lilies can be hard to transplant too. They don't like to be moved. But I do have a wilder one which is yellow and it just grows everywhere I don't want it to, lol.
Thanks again, Carol
Thanks, Heavinscent. Guess I am not finding the seeds like you guys. Doing a Google didn't show any of these places at all.
Carol
I have found so long as you are looking for someone else great stuff always comes up! lol ;)
Carol! I would love to send you some tubers/plant for a couple of your dahlia tubers.... (I've lusted after your dahlias for quite awhile.) But if you feel you have enough offered to you already, I would understand :o(
Let me know.... I could dig them now (after the new year....), or later as they progress a bit.
Sanna
Sanna,
What color do you have? Is your the invasive type?
Let me know.
I have plenty of dahlia tubers to share.
Just let me know what you've got.
Thanks,
Carol
I have red seeds not invasive and yellow which can be invasive if you are still looking
Veeja3,
I would love some red ones. Let me know what you would like for a trade.
Thanks, Carol

Carol,
I have some from my garden at the Philomath house. We are in Blodgett now so I'll have to search for them. How ofter do you and Mendy get together? I could give them to her or send them direct.
Please keep in mind - this summer was the first summer I had this plant and collected the seeds as an after-thought so I don't know how they will do. (I bought the plant at the nursery on Hwy 34 between Albany and Corvallis - can't think of the name just now. They had a huge bunch of these this last summer.)
Mine are pink and I don't know if they are invasive.
Cheryl
Hi, Cheryl,
Someday we need to meet, hehe.
I stop by Mendy's every so often. So you can give them to her and I can get them anytime then.
You must be talking about the Flowerland Nursery on Hwy 34. I might have to check there then. I work just a mile or so from that nursery.
So would love to try growing some of your seeds. I don't think the pink ones are invasive.
So just give a few seeds to Mendy and I can pick them up there.
Hope you like your new place. Sounds nice with some land. Enjoy the new gardening!
Thanks, later, Carol
Flowerland - that's it! - Aren't they about done for the year?
Oh, I am sure they are. I will just keep looking there to see if and when they get some of those plants in then. Tho they are very expensive, usually like $12. And I hate to spend that much on a plant, lol.
Carol
Hi Carol.... don't know if what I have is invasive or not.... I rescued the plant from a friend who was redoing her entire backyard, and was going to just get rid of it. She hasn't indicated any negatives..... and from what I remember of the color, it is a fairly pale mix. so!! Perhaps we should wait until I find out some more info?
Sanna
Sure, why don't you ask your friend the history of that plant then?
Just let me know then.
Thanks, Carol
