Golden Lady cutting is blooming

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone,
I am so EXITED !! I woke up this morning to 13 degree weather and what greeted me was my cutting from Dan (diamond123 ) with a most BEAUTIFUL blossom which had opened overnight.

Now the cutting was received on the 24th Oct.,put in water in a jelly glass jar, changing water every day.My temperature is about 68 degrees in my upstairs hallway, lighting is medium.

and NOW I have this ...7 weeks later :-)))

:) Donna

Your so fortunate to have a bloom this time of year. I'm sure this just adds the excitement awaiting you for next year. Enjoy

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Kell,
I don't know if I have the touch but I sure tried and it paid off.One of my good qualities is that I am never envies of what other people have but I sure have zone envy when I look at your great brugs.

Donna and Kin,
I know I am lucky and fortunate and soooooo pleased.

This is only the second brug I have ever had bloom and I am thrilled. In the past I had always admired the beauty of brugs but never dived in like I did with roses, daylilies, hostas and other perennials.Mainreason beeing is that I thought I wouldn't succeed here in Maine.

Shirley and Dan,
You are right ...the scent is strong but wonderful.
Thanks all for your encouragements. You are so sweet.
