I have a question on hisbiscus seeds. I have a single yellow tropical hibiscus standard..about 4 ft. tall. I just now harvested ripe seed from one of the pods. My question is this....is there a certain frame of time for planting these?
Or can I save them for a while like other seeds? I really have no idea..and have never grown any from seed.
Thanks!

I would let the seeds dry for a week or two. Then lightly score the rounded side and plant. Some folks plant right off but they may get a fungus. Use Captan to prevent damping off.
I also have some drying to plalnt next week!
I've started about a couple hundred of these fellows and after the seed was dried i planted right in the ground. Never had any trouble. Mke ps as long as they didn't have holes in thaem from those little buggs. good luck.
