I rescued this red heeler female on Nov. 22. I was at the standpipe getting water when I saw this little red blurr ducking behind the pump shack. I left, thinking it was a workers dog. I went back for another load and there she was. Her tail was tucked so far under her that I didn't think she even had one. At that time, I didn't even know if she was a girl or a boy. She was skinny, scared and God knows what else. I urged her to me and got her out by pulling her through the large gap between the fence and the gate. She immediately leaped into my arms. At that point I got a big lump. I put her in my truck and brought her home. It was so cool, my two other dogs greeted her like a long lost friend. She was meant to be with us. Here she will stay. I have a Sophie, a Stitch and now a Lilo. What a group they are. Here are my three girls. The one with the tail is the newbie. I have three females and they are all in heat. Thank goodness for 6 foot kennels. They are only in them when they are in heat. When my older border gets thru, she goes in for a spay. The no tail heeler is Stitch, the border is Sophie and the tailed heeler is Lilo.
