I have never grown this plant indoors (Jasminum polyanthum "Winter Jasmine" ) It was given to me as a gift. I can see that it is a vine but it is all wrapped and twisted around itself ~ is it intended to stay that way?? The plant came packaged directly from the nursery in this condition and if I were to attempt to untangle it I would ruin the plant. Does anyone have any experience growing the Winter Jasmine indoors during the winter and if so I need some advice! Thank you!

Jasminum polyanthum "Winter Jasmine"
Karen, Jasminum polyanthum needs a seasonal 18-degree drop in temperature to set buds so it should stay outside for the fall and be brought in before the first frost. I don't know what zone your in, but you can check and see when your first frost is. They grow outside here in my Zone 10 and bloom in winter through spring. I took mine out because it got too big for the space that it was in and because I didn't like that the dead blooms hang on and make the vine look ugly for the rest of the year. Here's a good link about growing Winter Jasmine: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/botan/feat_plant/jasminum/jas.html
