Teddy got injured but saved my neighbor's life.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

When I came home from shopping today. I pulled in by my house and saw Teddy walked down along with Rusty. I got out of car and turned around and saw Teddy laying down and saw blood stained on his chest and I went and oh my. He got bad deep cut by his nose and cheek and under chin. I checked on Rusty. He got punched hole below by his right eye. I was confused and wondered what happened.. I decided to walk to my neighbor's. I saw her working outside. I asked her if she know anything about my dogs which they had bleeding. She said Yes, she saw all happened and saved her life which she had to call Teddy to come and protect her from two growing dogs that was walking circle my neighbor Irene and growling at her. She had two long sticks trying to make dogs away from her. SHe called for Teddy to come and Teddy came along with Rusty. Teddy saw those dogs and went toward to those dogs and barking at them. Rusty was unsure but walking around...stare and Teddy got into fight with two dogs and Rusty joined and fight them. Finally two dogs gave up and ran away. She said she never saw that dogs before. SHe was really scared and thought that dogs would go after her. Both dogs have collars with tags. So right now both Teddy and Rusty are in the garage.. resting.. I cleaned his wounds and put medicines to prevent from infection. Teddy is very protection and would do anything to protect us from any stranger dogs that come to our property. I still don't know why why Teddy never do to Rusty when he first saw Rusty. Maybe he know and feel he's good dog and won't harm us. I have no idea..

I am so glad that she called Teddy to help her and protect her from those dogs. If not, she would be serious killed or injuried.
