I don't have many Gesneriads, but this one has always been a favorite and a bit hardier than most of the other family members. Gloxinia sylvatica from the cool cloud forests of meso America.

That is very lovely. Thanks for sharing the picture. I have never seen those growing in the natural habitat and it certainly would be on my list if I lived in a warmer winter climate.
That's pretty! I saw one for sale but passed it by, I kill gesneriads!
