Tell Me You Love Me

Deer River, MN(Zone 3b)

I was just sitting here watching Phantom hug Raggie when I got to thinking about all the ways my cats express love. People who don't know cats tend to think they are aloof and disinclined to show affection, but those of us who understand the beasts appreciate their intricate and complex expressions of emotionalism. See if you can add to my list.

Tell Me You Love Me by ...

purring when I touch you, or better yet, when I merely look at you ...

hugging me with your tail, or better yet, with your entire body wrapped around mine ...

bonking me with your head ...

rubbing your cheeks against me ...

kneading me ...

talking to me ...

grooming me ...

holding my hand in your paws ...

blinking slowly at me ...

bringing me "gifts" ...

protecting me ...

playing with me ...

sleeping with me ...

trusting me enough to let me cradle you in my arms ...
