Hello from the Welsh Borders

Welsh Borders, United Kingdom(Zone 5b)

I've just joined and so shall proably be lurking around watching what goes on here. Very much looking f/wd to getting to know you.

I live in the UK, in the Welsh Borders country between Engalnd and Wales - very ancient and beautiful. I garden organically and biodynamically, teach it, am a garden designer and writer. I regualrly do large show & water gardens at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show near London, England each July. Pix of the previous are on my web site, along with pix of Archenland, the garden here. We're very into wildlife, Piet Oudolf & Beth Chatto, growing our own veg.

Who else out there gardens organically? Any biodynamics people out there too?

Hello Grymalkyn

Welcome to DG!

I love the setting for Rhiannons Chair on your home page as well as the one here, your designs are beautiful.

We try and garden organically, with wildlife and include native plants in the garden. Can't say we get it right all that often but I hear practise makes perfect, we must be slow learners ;)

As well as a good bunch of people we have some great forums here, including Soil and Composting, Organic Gardening and our very own European forum too.

I look forward to seeing you around the Garden.

Welcome Grymalkyn!

Welsh Borders, United Kingdom(Zone 5b)

Thank you, everyone, for your greetings and kind words.

It's good to know there's someone from Hampshire, UK - Hi Baa!, what's your logo about?

Herbie, if you look on my web site you'll find some brief and, hopefully, reader-friendly words about biodynamics. It's the oldest form of "formalised" organic gardening, begun in 1924 in answer ot farmers requests for help due to chemical plution and rduction in crop yeailds ... yes! That far back! There's a lot of BD (biodynamics) in the US as well as all round the world. Upstate NY must be looking quite fabulous now with the autumn colour, or has it all gone by now? We still have bits or colour left here, despite very early snow and freezing temp.

Ahh the logo PF Admin means I answer the helpdesk and have limited editing abilities in PlantFiles.

I just went to look at your site on your homepage here but it doesn't take me anywhere. Did you include the http:// before the site address?

Hello from another organic gardener. We are glad to have you join our not so little garden party. Tell me how to get to your website, I would love to check it out, must have missed something above since it looks like others got there. The picture above is a beautiful one, ponds are so peaceful.
